Why my Staz isn't on the road

Post by Alspos »

Cos I'm building a shed. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

This is where my tools are currently stored.

and this one just doesn't cut it

So......started digging holes and laying the groundwork for a new one
Image

Moved the old shed outta the way
Image

Boxed for concrete

Reo...
Image

and finally a slab.

Then the frame work started. Back wall
Image

and the other walls
Image

then rafters, noggins and battens
Image

Wrapped to provide a bit of protection
Image

Then you put a roof on it
Image

then spend a week painting the timber cladding for the outside
Image

And I scored some wardrobe for nothing that will house some of my crap.

This is where it currently stands.....so progress will look a bit slow from now on.

Not a bad project....
You should drop by to Mitsumadness place and check out his set-up just installed. Truly amazing!

Wish I could do something similar but I got buckleys with council approving it on a small block of land!!

You needed an old fashioned amish shed building session.

Looks good. Planning on painting the floor?

Looks great, Al. Don't forget to put some insulation on the inside before you sheet the walls for extra thermal protection :D

Yep Charlie, west and north walls will get insulated to hopefully kill a bit of heat from direct sunlight.
Dunno about painting the floor as yet, I hopefully won't be spilling oil and crap working on cars in there, I'll just see how cruddy it gets.

Got a chance to hang some of the cladding panels. Bit awkward doing it alone but didn't come out too bad. Most awkward part is making sure the angles for the corners are plumb. Don't just assume the walls don't have any bows in them, guess how I figured that out
Need to make the door frame before I can finish off the last sheets. Then the high ones...not looking forward to that!
