smokey staz
my JA was blowing smoke a while back and i took it off the road and rebuilt it as well as fix up some probs i been meaning to do for ages. once it was all back to gether and running it was still blowing a bit of smoke but i hoped it would clear up after being run in. it didnt so i re done valve stem seals incase one wasnt put on right but still smoking. it only seems to do it on deccel. the engine as all new rings, bearings, etc. the only thing that hasnt been done is the turbo but i had that rebuilt two years ago. just wondering if anyone has had similar problem before a pull the turbo off again. cheers

Gidday Shane!
Sounds like your turbo seals are shot.
That was exactly the same problem I had with the white car at one stage, I did my valve stem seals first too.
Swap or repair your turbo mate.
Just out of interest, did you get the bottom end freshened up professionally or did you just self-hone it and re-ring it?

hey mate. yeah i just gave my turbo to MTQ (the turbo shop i use), and when i checked it out there was heaps of shaft movement so im betting it is the turbo. we done all the work on my engine in shop mate. apart from the machining side of it.
