Hi all,

Just thought i would post some pics of my Starion which is now finished and cruising the streets.

It's been a hard slog but it's been worth every second, I'm pretty pleased with the results, she's not perfect, but for a daily driver it will do just fine.

Cheers,
Hitchy

Looks great hitchy, amazing attention to detail. I really really dont like those black wheels. they look like you have 4 spares on. Great job on the engine, can I recommend leather magic in the states. They supply a paint on dye kit which is amazing at restoring leather. Here is a link with some good pics of when I did mine.

Thanks Vulpes for the link, those seats look awesome :beer I will have to seriously look into it.

Thanks for your opinion. As you said lucky we are all different. Personally i really like the wheels in black. :D The silver body with silver wheels looked a bit plain so I wanted to spice it up a bit. the bright sunshine has washed the wheels out a bit in the photo, they look much better when you see them in person. I really wanted 16x7 Superlites in Charcoal for it but cause i was working on a pretty tight budget couldn't afford the $1000 or so for them so when I was told by the guy who sandblasted the stockies that he'd powder coat them for $30 each I said bargain. i should also mention he only had 4 colours available and charcoal wasn't one of them, which meant he'd have to order it in which would have cost more $$$ Advantage of the black wheels is they always look clean & can't see the brake dust etc. All in all each to their own. If we all had the same tastes all our Starions would look the same which means we'd all have one awesome looking starion but individuality means we have hundreds of awesome Starions and we wouldn't have it any other way!!!

Regards

Amen to that hinchy, it really is a credit to you mate and something you should be very proud of. Its great to see a staz restored to such a high standard. I love your undercarriage work and the standard engine bay looks unreal. also what a great job one spraying the console in silver. Cheers all round from me mate :beer

Once agian the photos don't do it justice, the centre console is actually thin brushed aluminium sheet that has been bonded to the original console pieces that has then been clear coated. I might add i had to hand brush finish the aluminium sheet with a sanding block and scotchbrite pads using unidirectional motions myself. It took a while but the result speaks for itself.

Really great work! Only one little detail bothers me in the engine bay and that is the ECI logo. I think it would look better polished.

I love the fact that you have finished it. I think a majority of us would say that our cars will never be finished. You have set out to do something and you have done it.
