INSURANCE - Comprehensive, for under 25 year olds...

Post by Neon_Crossing »

Hey there,

Just wondering if anyone has had a good experience with an insurance company (especially for under 25 year olds, which can be a touchy subject for insurance companies and super fast turbo starions haha)

Any reccomendations?

Thanks

when I was underage (:P) the only company that was willing to insure me on a modded car was just car. Once you hit the age limit of 25+, shannons becomes a much better option

I think there was something on here about them no longer wanting to insure "special" vehicles lol.. haven't heard from Enteran on here for a while, but I think he was the one who was saying something about it.. might be worth a search?

I always found Justcars to be a good bunch to deal with if your car is Mod'ed they can some times be a bit pricey compared to some of the others but they do accept more risk than most insurers so its to be expected

Thanks for the replies guys. Justcar would only offer me $2400 comprehensive agreed value, that conversation didn't go for much longer. LSV won't insure stations anymore because they and here is a direct quote "aren't classic enough". SGIC quoted me $900 per annum for $4050 agreed value (best so far but in my prediction under what mine is worth) and with an $700 excess. Shannons said they were going to check with a manager and call me back and I haven't got a call back yet. Anyone under 25 with insurance (comprehensive) with anyone other than justcars or shannons?

what year is your car? LSV state on their website that they will insure modified vehicles? Can you class yours as a modded car instead of a classic car?

yeah justcar wouldn't give me decent value on my car, and it wasn't really "agreed" value, so I switched to shannons.

1985 JB.

Spoke to Shannons they look like a go-er.

$5000 agreed value.

$455ish Per Annum

$700 excess (under 25)

I think its the best I'll get for now.

wtf.. comprehensive for 455????? or did you mean 1455? Do you live in a really low crime area? Or is it being insured as a limited use car or something?

Yeah extremely limited use. Maybe I should have mentioned that. My bad.

ahhh yeah they gave me that option first.. what was it? 1500 kms per year or something like that?

I just went "No way, I don't want any limitations on how often and how much I drive my car"
