Rating 1 Finally

Post by Entaran »

Does anyone else remember finally getting rating 1 from their insurance company and being FUCKING GOBSMACKED at how much cheaper it is than rating 2 (or worse)?

Like seriously, my insurance dropped SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS for no other reason.

My landcruiser now costs me like $467 full comp. Go figure.

Your rating drops one point every year you have comprehensive insurance, one point per 2 years if you have 3rd party insurance.

You start at rating 6. Have an accident, you go up one rating to 7 etc...ask how I know :?

I was wondering who people are having their Starions insured with and how much they are insured for .
AAMI will only give me a total of $2400 MAX if it needs repairs or is stolen ??(and its a JB!)
Cheers

I just insured my one in a company that specializes in hobby-cars...
"Entusiast"-insurance is limited to 10000km/year and some other lititations.... byt the pricing is fairly good 1605 SEK/260AUD!
(And per year that is...)
A regular insurance-company would be about 15000SEK/2434AUD

Also try LSV (Lumleys special vehicles) They have a stable type setup where you can insure all your cars on one policy and nominate how many you can drive at one time and pay accordingly.

Were a substantially cheaper than shannons on my missus' beamer and look like they may also do some sort of track day insurance.
I will be looking into this further when my current policy's run out.

LSV are getting out of all forms of "special" vehicles. We had a policy cancelled at renewal, they simply sent us a letter saying they weren't offering to renew the policy and that it would expire on x date.

Anyone read any further into this?
