As an over-view;

Option 1 – Sigma/L200 5 speed gearbox.
Pro – cheap & bolt in
Con – minimal strength, hydraulic clutch conversion required
Would best suit a standard or mild t/c engine without a gorilla changing gears.

Option 2a – Supra W5x gearbox with CRS adapter plate
Pro – cheapish & a known quantity.
Con – Harder to find a good W58, not bullet-proof, hydraulic clutch conversion required, crossmember & tailshaft mods required

Option 2b – Supra W5x gearbox with dellow/Ron Masing bellhousing
Pro – cheapish & a known quantity.
Con – Harder to find a good W58, not bullet-proof, crossmember & tailshaft mods required, Dellow quality control is questionable

Option 2c – Supra W5x gearbox with Bill Hincher bellhousing (US)
Pro – cheapish & a known quantity.
Con – Harder to find a good W58, not bullet-proof, crossmember & tailshaft mods required, expensive import & freight

Option 3 – Supra R154 with Bill Hincher bellhousing (US)
Pro – stronger
Con – getting more expensive and hard to find, crossmember & tailshaft mods required, expensive import & freight

Option 4a – T-56 with Bill Hincher bellhousing (US)
Pro – strong + extra gear
Con – dear as poison, uses LT-1 gearbox not common in Aus, truck-like gearshift transmission tunnel, crossmember & tailshaft mods required, expensive import & freight

Option 4b – T-56 with patented MrBishi sigma bellhousing adapter
Pro – strong + extra gear, uses LS-1 gearbox
Con – we’ll all be old and grey before that guy finishes, restrictive clutch choice (sigma bellhousings ain’t big)

Option 5 – Starion wideblock gearbox with adapter plate
Pro – cheap and the most ‘bolt-in-able’
Con – No-one offers an off-the-shelf product. Comparitively weak when used behind big HP motors

Any I missed?
