do these diffs work with 4 bolt axles or are 6 bolt axles required?

The one I pulled today is for a 4 bolt. 4 bolt widebody so you have to slightly enlarge the early style 4 bolt axle 4 bolt holes to fit the slightly wider later 4 bolt pattern, which is quite easy with a handle held drill. I also have a 6 bolt complete diff sitting in my garage if anyone is interested.

would 4 bolt narrowbody driveshaft stubs have the same splinecount as the widebody 4 bolt driveshafts? If so I'ld just use my four bolt driveshafts in that diff.

86/87 widebody had the big diff with the 4 bolt axles, you can use the narrowbody half shafts in one, the spline is the same. no need to get the 86/87 widey half shafts.

the 88/89 widey had the 6 bolt half shaft type diff that had bigger splines in the diff side gears.

yeah the only difference is the bolt pattern on the widebody 4 bolt is slightly larger if I remember right, but that can be fixed with a bit of filing.

yeah that's what I was meaning I could just use my original 4 bolt axles if they have the same spline count and diameter as widebody 4 bolt axles. I knew 6 bolt axles were totally different but was unsure about widebody 4 bolt axles.

they would weigh about 30-40kgs and physical dimentions including torque tube would be around 60-70cm long by around 25-30cm wide and deep.

Haha, I was gonna ask why so cheap... and then I remembered that I was the one to send it to you. It was no where near $95... ...unless you're talking about something else?? Get that installed?? I miss it still...

I told Shaun about the same shipping company I used, and I believe he just sent one out recently through them.

BTW, 6 bolt diffs weigh a bit more than the US 4 bolt diffs.

yeah it was no 95 dollars. It cost quite a bit. I dont even remember but I can look it up in a pm.

As for hand luggage. you can break it up into a few pieces, but it's going to be heavy any way you look at it.

I didnt realize I was missing somethign from my for sale thread? How much more info do I need? My location is in tmy avatar, I would assume there is no one retarded enough to thikn this is new, but ok. Contact info is posting on this thread.
