American Starion owner in need of a cheap solution to a small problem:
i have an 88 Starion left-hand drive and the e-brake handle is in my way when i drive. it rubs against my knee since it is on the same side as the driver.
does anyone have a right-hand drive e-brake lever assembly and the matching plug for the center console (black interior) they can sell me? or maybe we can work out a trade for US parts you might want/need.
thanks-
Steve

It shouldn't be too hard for somebody to come by one, just black will be a problem. I haven't seen a black interios starion here. Next time I'm at a wreckers I will look though. Maybe a different colour one and you could buy a black leather handbrake cover. A guy on Starquest.com makes them (for RHD too )
thanks
Al, i would greatly appreciate it if you (or anyone) would have a look around. its not a needy bit, just a luxury item but given how small the inside space of these cars is and how big i am it borders on need
as for the interior colour...is black not a common colour for Aussie Starions? i would have guessed it would be a pretty basic colour the world over for Starion interiors.
here are a few small pics of what i am looking for:
