Cheaper Substiture Than LSD?

I bought a cheap diff (50 bucks) and welded it up,

It was great fun for about a week, some nice drifts and skids, but after a few days it started making very loud clunks when it would lock at low speed, and was very yucky sounding, was not notice able at hi rpm i.e doing skids,

if you can find a spare diff, do it, but do not do it to your only diff.

I would love an LSD though.
