dynojets torque vs rpm printout communicates so much easier what a motor is doing thru the whole rev band :)
hp & ft-lbs tq can indicate a motors grunt to an observer in an instant - easier to track changes & register tradeoffs too.

I'm wondering how much ft-lbs tq "1850 lbs" equates to.
Most of the serious 2.6s, the hp normally matches the tq value, ie. say 350hp/350tq, 400/420, 500/510, and so on.

I don't really see why the skepticism or secrecy. Throw the 'same mods' at the 2L as we 'wreckless' yanks do to our 2.6, the outcome "should" be proportional (based on displacement).

Very nice

maybe 2nd gear, with a 3.55 stock diff ratio? different gear ratio's alter torque readings on dyno's.

nice result, will be interesting to see what she pulls at the drags :) i always thought my 13.06 was too slow to be considered fastest sohc in oz.. bring on the 12's!

Should be interesting to see at the drags. First time the car will be on the strip though so may not run at its best this meet. Can see it lacking traction though as car will probably only run on 215 street tyres. MPH will tell the cars potential though.

my best MPH was 106.4, with a little wheelspin. that was running 18psi at the drags that day too, not the 20 it was dynoed with. should give u an idea though!

and yes looks like the SOHC rivalry is heating up, yep u guys gotta get on the strip and knock me off the perch, as the orange mobile is getting some badly needed upgrades (cam and ECU) when timmy gets back from the USA :pimp so she'll be heading back to the strip to pull some 12's :D
