It's good to give them something to pick that is obvious and easy to fix, otherwise they'll often get really fussy trying to find something...

And after dragging my ass up early this morn to get under the car in the pouring rain ive discovered that the reverse switch is non existant Theres just a bolt in its place. Car used to be an auto so guess they forgot bout it when they did the swap. Anyone got a spare reverse switch they wanna hook me up with?

Should only need reverse lights for COF (taxis buses etc) but these guys have to find a fault on an old car.
I only have a spare auto box and if the switch was the same i assume they would have fitted it when the conversion was done.

Nah my starion only has 1.... one of my later model cars had none.
But I think the law states either both or none not 1.
I got failed on one of my cars cause only 1 worked so took the other one out and passed :D

Junkers (jeremy) is parting out a whole starion, sure he would have one.
Oh and http://www.ltsa.govt.nz/certifiers/virm ... -04-v3.pdf
According to the WOF guide lines you don't need reverse lights, if they don't work perfectly you must make sure they don't not show any light
