dosent this mean your ecu is running in get me home mode? i had a cordia that would run fine without an AFM only if you by-passed the fuel pump relay (ie, the check connector) but the ecu would pump out fault codes...

yeah i have been told it might be in "limp" mode and that its running uber rich (even with the injectors leaking and fuel happily dripping out of the eci) when the afm is connected which is why when its disconnected it runs better, no afm = running leaner or something like that.

going to try to find out ,via a dyno session, exactly whats going on.

might have some decent dosh coming back in tax so mpi fund will get a big boost. til then however the old girl is parked.
