Alright I am just aligning everything up. and in the manual it says that there is a plug where you can stick a screwdriver in, and if it goes in 60mm the timing is correct, and that you can leave that in to ensure it is correct.

Can anyone tell me where that plug is in detail, as I cant seem to find it, and the diagram doesnt help.

Thanks guys

As the manual says. Make sure cam and balance shaft notches are all in the right place. Make sure dizzy is on #1 but assuming you didn't pull it out it should be right. Did you set the engine at TDC before you started or is this disaster recovery excercise. Everything goes back in place with engine at TDC.

The only problem now is that its at a mates house because it wont bloody start.

This is the whole story...

Was dropping some mates off at the pub then was going to go home and get ready to go out..
I was very low on petrol and thought, Ill fill up straight after I drop them off...
Didn't make it :(
Walked to a really close BP, and filled up a few mount franklin bottles with premium, poured it into my tank, still couldn't get it to start after plenty of tries.
Called some mates who came and we tried push starting it (but they were too bloody high to push any faster than crawling speed)
Pushed it to the gas station, put more petrol in and tried to start, it.
Wouldn't start
Left it till the next day to try.
Got my mate to donor me battery power and tried starting it.
It got REALLY close to starting at a few stages (when it fires a few time but loses it) then starter motor wasn't working very well.
After bout 30mins of trying decided to try push start it....
Got 5 mates to push it real fast, dropped it in 2nd, and it just bloody rolled as if it wasn't in gear at all!!!
And it still sits at a mates house

That sounds like the Cam Belt has shat itself again, am I correct?

replace the fuel filter and try "prime" the fuel system, Take the fuel line off the throttle body and get someone to turn the key to on but dont start the car.. Should only take a second or 2 to get fuel to come out. Connect the line back up. wait for any fuel to dissolve then try start the car

What about what happened when i tried to push start it? It almost just rolled freely while in gear? Is that normal when no fuel is going to the engine?

I went back to it, tried starting it (no luck) fuel is in the engine (can smell it flooded as f***) The cam belt must be fucked again.....
Why would the cam belt destroy while push starting?
Ohhhhhhh.... I know why... THE CAR FUCKING HATES ME!
It has been broken longer than it has been working...
it just got a new engine and the fucking thing is less reliable taking me anywhere than trying to drive my fucking shaver around.

Some cars with timing belts dont like to be push started as it can cause the belt to skip thus putting the cam timing out.

Ive only roll started my JD once cos i left somthing on that sucked the power from the battery, I dont like doing it.

Shit, didnt relise push starting was bad for it. The bloody starter motor was dying on me so i thought, might as well push start rather than taking the easy way out and destroying a starter motor

Ive heard about these kevlar cam belts. Are they pretty much unbreakable?

Push starting ok for it and since you say it has no compression when you let the clutch out it can't of jumped teeth. If your belt has broken again it doesn't matter what another one is made from it will break because there must be a reason for the breakages.
You say new motor? Was cam belt done then? If so check tensioner bearing, cam pulley alignment and i guess even if the cam was bolted down to tight this would happen, make sure oil pump pulley spins freely also.
