heh got my car back at 2PM today
moved it at 8PM, turned on my headlights and HELLO
Lo-Beam doesn't seem to be in a good mood. High Beam works, driving lamps come on, but on Lo Beam one headlight turns on very dull, and the other is completely off.
*curse words*
Something to do for the weekend I guess.
And yeah I checked it out, I have three buttons, headlamps, driving lamps, and off. Hit driving lamps, and the headlights stay down but these puppies keep running. Judging by what ProZac said, I think this changed per country. I have a sepearte button for Park lamps, and hi/lo on the steering column.

when you have the driving lamp button switched on, switch on Hi-Beam and then check the front of the car to see if the driving lamps are on. thats the way mine work, only on with hi beam
but thanks a lot cam!

Yeah same with mine I have here.ProZac wrote:It must be a legal thing in aus... my 85 import starion had a seprate button to turn them on from the factory. I Believe there is a tutorial on the starquest board, in teh FAQ section.
it has: Driving Lights, Headlights, Off - buttons on the right side of the instrument cluster, and on the left Park, Hazards, and a button to make the headlights go up and down (for servicing I guess).
I do NOT have a button that says 'D. LAMP', its just another side button.
Edit: Just realised how old this post is
i tried mine last night, they only work with the high beam on. at least one of them, looks like I need a new globe... anyone tried to rewire them to work independentlly... then I'll be like one of those new cars, i want to be like those new cars damit.. :x

well they look ok during the day but they have no depth for night driving.
YEah I have them running independant, I just ran a positive wire to the dash to a switch and then i ran the positive wire from there to the lights and then i can switch them on when I feel like it, however i didn't spend the time to wire it to the stock switch. Hope this helps
Cheers
