Ok, the gasket is quite cheap anyway.
What I found from the gasket price list though was:
TC05 TC06 TD05 TD06 all have the same exhaust intake flange.
TC05 and TD05-14/16 have different exhaust exit flanges, however this is an older 12, so hoping that the TD05-12 has the TC flange. I've emailed the seller, and he'll get back to me soon with the answer - fingers crossed.

Another thing to note is that your car is a jap import, not a JB, so the electronics might be slightly different in the fuel metering area. I have heard from alot of you over there that its typical for a JA/JB to start cutting out when you hit around 12-14psi... whereas on a non-intercooled jap import, if you can hit 9psi, your doing well.

I'd say about 12, I can't find the piping for my boost guage so really dunno.
I imagine its about 12psi.
Normally when running the car boosts, making little turbo noise and no PSST BOV noise, but hold it in gear for long enough and the turbo really really makes a scream, followed by a loud PSSSST from the BOV.
If you keep your foot in the gas (and its fun because car has a lot more balls!) and are in 5th already it just goes BANG -> silence -> brrrrrrrr and does it again.
So yeah I imagine I'm running a lot higher than 9. Trying to find a fuel only ECU but nobody seems to have one laying around, would like to run 12psi instead of modifying my wastegate arm, and judging by the way it works, this means the wastegate will be slightly open the whole time creating more lag :glare: :glare: :glare:
The actuator arm on the TC05 looks like a stick of rust, possibly the problem, all seized up. Can't see the actual actuator, its buried in air pipes, and have no need to pull it out yet.
My exhaust is old, but quite large, been wondering if its larger than stock, would explain the boost creep.

the cut is there for a reason, happens when you hit 50% duty cycle.
A thing that bugs me is that from what ive gathered 50% duty is the max you can go on the standard injectors with the standard ecu. What does putting an aftermarket ecu into the equasion do, do you suddenly have 50% more fuel flow to play with or what?
Sorry for the hijack, and just out of curiosity what do the starion injectors flow?

Yeah I just want to run 12psi to begin with, maybe a tiny bit more, before I try anything higher I'll put in a L300 intake manifold with MPI. Be easy with an aftermarket fuel controller already in there.
Looks like I'll be lengthening the arm tho :x

Wastegate is ported and big (can fit many fingers in there)
Cost me 2/10ths of FA
