300x75 will start to restrict flow on something the size of a GT30 and up, there is a reason that all the big hp drag cars have massively tall and decently thick intercoolers, this is a $400 'modyourcar' special, hell even autoquip have them now.

How thick a cooler is doesn't have much of a consequence on restriction, especially with a 3" thick cooler. There are plenty of Skylines making decent numbers with these coolers, and for the intended application here, (SOHC Starion), this cooler is plenty.

300x75 is plenty big enough IMHO. Were not talking cut down truck coolers here.
When I got my PWR cooler made I asked about getting a thicker core. Their response was "don't bother" - the added expense couldn't be justified on a street car - so I settled on a 600x300x75 core.

75 is the thickness of evo stock coolers too and they handle 300kw and thats a smaller capacity than the pwr/hybrid coolers

I know of several 500rwHP Supras using the same cooler. I too was skeptical, what's another $300 for a "better" cooler given the total build cost? My wastegate cost more ffs. I was assured by very well known "big HP" guys that the $400 cooler would do the job.

if anything that cooler will be too big ... will make it laggy as all fuk on a small turbo like a std or highflow u need a big mumma for a cooler that big as in rated at 400 + hp

I doubt it would be laggy at all. I run a cooler about those dimensions (slightly less height) and i only have a tc05 on at the moment and i get boost early and hard.

I disagree. A 600x300x75 core intercooler has a volume of 0.0135 cubic metres or 0.476748 cubic feet.

Lets say you have 2 metres of 2.5" intercooler piping. That has a volume of 0.0063 cubic metres or 0.2225 cubic feet.

So your total volume is 0.7 cubic feet.

Now even a small tiny TC05 turbo can easily flow 250cfm (cubic feet per minute)

So to fill up 0.7 cubic feet will only take 0.168 seconds
Even at low rpm where the turbo is only flowing say 100cfm it can still fill up that intercooler volume in 0.42 seconds.

Bottom line.. I highly doubt anyone would notice any difference in lag by changing the size of the intercooler. The difference in volume between even the largest intercooler and the amount of air an engine can flow is just too big.

secondly i am basing my comment above stating that it will make it laggy on personal experience with my mates 200sx with the cooler that i now have on his car with his GT28 it was punchy as in all gears now with a 600 x 300 x 75 hybrid copy it is laggy between gears, more efficient but none the less laggy so each to their own i guess...
