Mine is in a Scorpion with the 21 inch (furthest back) position and it's very comfortable to use - the throw is really short too. I'm a big fan.
I haven't used the Dellow one at all, so no comment on that.
WTB: supra w58 shifter for staz.
Just a little update on this, in case anyone was interested.
If you have the 21" shifter, which is afaik the best position for the Starion, the 20.5" dellow short shifter requires the shifter fork thingo to be changed to a different unit to work.
The shifter fork only costs 70 bucks or so from dellow, but I will try not to have to deal with them again, as I had to find this out the hard way.
Originally when I purchased the short shifter from them, I made it clear I currently had the 21" shifter, and that I has happy to change to their 20.5" shifter (that's the longest one they make), and I asked if there was anything else I needed. They said no and sent me on my way.
After I actually installed the unit, I was stupid and put the box back into the car without actually testing the shift. The lever would only move forward into (I assume) 3rd gear and back into neutral, and no where else. After calling them and telling them, they then tell me "oh you need a different shifter fork. You'll have to take remove the back part of the gearbox to replace it." Thanks for telling me this after I've put everything back into the car.
So today I spent all day moving the motor and gearbox off of the car and onto the engine crane so I could get to the shifter housing bolts and put the old one back.
And that's another reason these ones are a bit of a nuisance. The shifter housing is extremely difficult, if not impossible, to change without the gearbox out, or at least off the mount and down a little.
All in all, I would avoid the dellow short shifter and go with the one Lummy uses. I believe these are the people:
