249cm is the actual width of my single roller door.. not including tracks. I just measured it.

it basically works you can get the door the width to suit your garage. so i suggest you go buy a door first with all the tracks and shit.
Then build the garage to suit the door.

Yeah, but I need to draw it first and submit to council. No doubt they'll crack it if I say 2m and put in 2.5m or whatever.

Also seeing if I can buy one from the trading post or whatever to save a couple of bucks.

Al, you shouldnt worry about council, only way they can find out about shit like that is if they ever check the plans and shit for the house when you sell it, or if your neighbours are arseholes.
but i live in rosebud, alot of people wouldnt notice if you built a house right on the beach with no permits.
But i am pretty sure you can get a door made if not buy off the shelf to the size that you need.
maybe ring around a few people that sell and build garages and they may be able to help you with a common size

tis better that you don't know their names... otherwise you might become emotionally attatched, get hitched and have lil kids to take over your kingdom when your dead... in which case if they can't wait that long, they'll plot to kill you :P

well as you said you are thinking about looking through the trading post for a cheap one, why not look now and see whats available, if u find a cheap one buy it and design your garage around it.. then if plans arent approved chuck it back in the trading post with an extra $50-60 on top of what you paid lol
