Post by Chris »

Hi everyone, long time reader, first time posting, was wondering if any of you guys down in melbourne know anything about this car for sale:

I'm looking at buying it and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it.

In the ad its described as a JB, It is only a JA Starion.

Dont let the owner tell you its a JB as this car has got the JA injection, tail lights, B pillar vents and JA interior.

That interior is very clean for a JA as most have wrecked seats so those are most likely retrimmed seats (a plus).

If going to buy it i suggest seeing if someone from Melbourne on here who knows a bit about Starions will go with you.
-JA Starion with JD bits , Forged engine, Heaps of mods (parked up)
-BFII XR6 Turbo Ute , Here comes 400hp for 2k :p
-77 Mazda 323 drag car. 13bt rotary project.

Yes i have too many toys.

thanks, I will try and contact him to ask about it. A pity because I had my heart set on a jb, I was wondering because of the different inside of the door, and it is a JA.

I looked at it b4 Flav worked on it. Was supposedly repainted then they put the Ralliart stickers on it and completely flucked it up, very bad job. Hence the large black stripe now I would guess.

Flav should know's what's inside the engine etc.

What happened to the 'interesting' airdam that flav made?

Dude - if you want a JB, just wait for a good one. They do come up for sale and with a decent budget you should get a nicely modded one.

Overpriced, mocked up RICE car! Official laughing stock of Austarion! No wonder it's STILL for sale!

Steer well clear!

If they let it go for nearer the $2-3k mark, maybe you could fix it!

Those pics made me throw up a little...

That being said, you could bin the wheels, repaint the stripe and it would look better. The engine looks great, I'm sure it runs well.

Its a JB Shell, fitted with alot of JA parts. 90% of the parts are brand new and so is the engine. It was sold a few times to people that could only afford the deposit. This would suit a collector or someone who wants a virtually brand new car. Probs not even half what its worth. We didnt build it but we fitted a cooler to it and NOS kit. It's quite fast and i think a drive/inspection will sort you out. I know the owner spent plenty and got dicked with the NOS by the cops after i told him to pull the bottle out.

Chunkhead is incorrect.

Always a pleasure Flav, always.

Still no comeback from Bodeo's claim that you're a fraud? How's Ferrari treating ya?
