Had a flat battery in the Triton ( strange just about every battery that has shat itself on me has done it in winter. 4 degrees this morning ) so had to drive my Staz to work at Willowbank & put it on the drag scales & it weighed 3088 lbs with 3/4 + tank Fuel & driver at 87KG
I've had mine since 03 07 92

3000 pounds holy crapola!
Fibreglass airdams $370, fibreglass front bumpers $260, reco drag links $165, alloy radiators $925 (unpolished), h/l switch rebuilds $125, all plus freight.

That's in the right ballpark, if you subtract the weights of the fuel and OLD FAT [sic, :wink: ]

Yep, about right.
Fuel=45kgs
Driver=87kgs
3088/2.2=1404
1410-87-45=1278
I believe Starions are 1265 from the factory.

yeah I put mine on scales at exactly 1265kg with nearly 1/4 tank of fuel
Powerplant: Chipped stock ECU, 2044cc, 8.5:1, head intake enlarged and polished, exhaust manifold enlarged,
Balance-shafts eliminated, Intercooled, TC06 @ 10psi, 2.5" high flow exhaust system and dump pipe.

Hardly a young pup, with 3 kids and owning a Staz since '88 (which wasn't my first car), Oldie! But I'll take it as a compliment :)

My math was exactly the same as what Alspos did, which means there's a discrepancy of 13kg. The only logical explanation is that you're really 100kg instead of 87kg. How long have you been lying about your true weight, hmmm? :wink:

Forgot to say that all the air con has been removed
If you were born after 1939 then to me you are still a young pup LOL

I actually dont think thats that bad of a number considering the strength of the chassis. Definately not the lightest car, but its a far cry from the big 6 cylinder gt cars of the day.
