Big Mouth - rolling roaded
Just a coupla pics, I've been messing with her today.
I cut the nasty plate housing off a while back, but today I took Dremel to the bumper and cut away to the level of the intercooler.
Started filling but then it chucked it down. Just need to finish filling and smoothing and spray it, then I'm gonna put a bit of trim round the edge.
Kinds reminds me of a fish now.
And then just a couple fo random pics for no reason at all :)

Who cares, it looks angry LOL
No seriously, I can see the heat rippling out when I'm driving and when I stop and put my hand over it yo ucan feel the ho tair coming out.
So I just think, thats hot air that would have been in the engine bay, can only be a good thing. Never had overheating issues but lets hope I never do eh?
Its just raised on longer bolts with some nuts on to lock it up. Its pretty sturdy.
Number plate holder was the first thing to go when I bought it. Terrible. I've worried over the sticky plate but I've passed tons of Police and not been pulled yet so fingers crossed. :)

That last pic looks sweet. Cant beat a bit of hacking. Mine wont be as tidy as that when I'm done :D
I dunno, theres an awful lot of stuff on the bulkhead there that I don't think yer aussie stazzers have. And it looks ghetto :)
Maybe, but I heard from Rogercordia that every mm up it goes adds 5bhp.chunkhead wrote:Actually, if you just remove the rubber trim from the lip, just under the windscreen side of the bonnet, you'll get the same flow... :?

In a word, no. It was on when I bought the car, its a 2 1/2" powerflow stainless system right to that backbox. It can be loud but thats the pedestrians problem. I can't afford to change it right now, plus I'm not sure I wanna. It's not as bad as most other modified cars round here.DanVR4 wrote:Is your exhaust reasonably quiet? The muffler looks large

Shes just been on the rolling road.
Ok before you all laugh cos you have big power starions, mines pretty standard and I took her up cos she has a problem and shes been majorly down on power and the turbo was whistling real bad.
Sooo turns out its good news. Its just an air leak. I didnt find it before cos its not on a join, its a seam on a metal pipe. They are gonna weld the pipe this week then re-roll her and she what she does then.
But this is as she is now.
Bearing in mind shes losing this power I'm more than happy. The guys reckon she'll do far better next time.
Next job is turbo rebuild and then we'll see again.
Very happy though, at least shes working well!
