Some lucky little prick in China is now the new owner of my DSLR after our last trip there.. dodgy i tell ya! going to pad lock everything in future.

fortunatly insurance should get me a new camera. soon enough.

And check the money they give you for change, I got slipped a fake RMB50. Not like a non chinese could pick the difference of course. Oh well, work got a $8 souvenir

I think Hilarys Marina in WA would be a bit far for you to go. You can find all the shops that carry Brightside in your area if you go to:

roll on and brush bubbles out?

yeah rolled on then rolled all the bubbles out with same roller. takes awhile but well worth the effort. Pics dont really do the shine justice. My only prob is getting tiny bits of dust landing on stuff ive painted - perks of having an old dusty garage!!!! :?

the only prob i see with using this paint is the paint is enamel based. If for some reason you were to change your paint and go down the lines of spray painting the whole car would have to be stripped back to bare metal as acrylics and 2 pac paint will no cure with enamel as a base.

i have seen 2 cars now that have had enamel paints used on them and the owners decided to get a clear put over them. they turned out looking this 3 degree burns bubbles and cracked paint everywhere

I read that forum thing on moparts a while back, and was considering buying some tremclad from the states to do it, but now you guys have advanced on that idea with brightside which seems to solve most of the problems of tremclad....

Did you thin down the brightside at all Lunacy? Also did you end up with any orange peel effect anywhere?

Also does anyone know if it could be mixed to different colours? i.e. gun metal grey, or should i buy some black and grey and take it to a paint shop to be mixed?

Yeah i thinned it down slightly as im painting in a cold garage but it says only about 5-10% thinner should be used if any. As for orange peel have had a lil bit but its easy enough just to wetsand back and go over it again. Rest of my car (ie the whole thing minus the front end :D ) is arriving back in akl on friday so wil be getting into the rest of it next wknd :D

Did you do 3 coats on those parts? Did you start at bare metal, and also did you use a primer?

Yeah will def put more pics up as she progresses.
Panels were all taken back to bare metal, then etch primered and primered before i started the topcoats. Those pics are only after 2 coats of paint, working my way thru diff grits of paper, will keep going til i get it close to perfect :D
