My Lancer Project

Post by palmystar »

This is my 1982 EX Lancer with a starion engine.

My old flatmate had an original EX GSR turbo and started liking them so much i decided to make my own. Got the engine out of my brother's crashed starion.

I got the engine in and running and then drove it round for a few months then the wof ran out. It has been off the road since and that was two years ago i think.

In that time i have done a turbo upgrade. Turned the intake to face the front and added an intercooler. And have also been trying to get it road legal. It is very close to being on the road now and i can't wait to drive it. Even though there is still heaps of work to do once its drivable.

:beer Lovin the old EX on black plates. Those wheels look mean! Good effort. I had one of these in Dunedin when I was a student. Went through two standard engines and a clutch or two and they were cheap as chips to get replaced!
