Hello,
I know fuck all about these seatbelts but im sure someone here does.
So can I get a 5 point seating harness on my stock seats, or will i need racing seats?
Also do you HAVE to have a roll bar for the 5 point harness (roll bar to mount harness on)?
Because with the leather seats they are so damn slippery when ever i go round corners quick i get pushed against the door or im using my legs to hold me on the seat etc. Either way its hard to drive when you slide everywhere.
5 Point Seat Belt Harness
Your problem is that your clothes are slippery on the leather.
Solution... drive nude. LOL
Stick some aftermatket seat in. Or 2nd hand WRX or GTR seat. Don't need 5 point harness.
Besides, if you use a harness, I think you have to get the car engineered and you loose the seating capacity behind you...?

If you use a 4 point or more harness you will lose the rear seating no matter how you mount it, be it using a roll cage or using the existing bolt holes for the rear passenger seat belts.
If you are sliding around on the starion seat you need more side bolster and the harness wont help much in this regard. If you want an almost bolt on solution, the obx daytona can mount on your existing starion seat rails, requiring only two holes to be drilled to bolt on. Then you need a solution in mounting your seat belt (the part that the seat belt clips into) as on the starion it is mount directly on the seat itself. Also you need to make a lever so you can slide the seat fowards and backwards.
