It's actually a light grey colour! The photo's don't do it justice! The paint on the centre console is easy, it's scratch and chip proof, so I just wipe it with a cloth!

Oped - thanks for the comments.

I used two types: VHT Vinyl Dye and Motospray Vinyl Spray. These are readily available from Supercheap, Repco, most car accessory shops etc. If you look around a bit you can get them for under $10 a can. You don't need much, either.

I've done some more since them, and I should mention that a plastic primer (such as Flexi-Prime) should give better adhesion. Having said that, I haven't had any adhesion problems so far, but I do use Flexi-Prime now as standard practice.

What have you got against what we've already done! Mine's been done for two years, still looks like I just bought it! Vinyl Dye works fine! :x

Technically covering it in vinyl is also just covering up the problem :D you will find that not all of us have the luxury of working in the industry and getting cheap prices like you.

I dyed my doors, and the carpet attached at the bottom on the 20th of December 2004. Here's some pics from today 19th of March 2007. More then two years on, and all for $30! Thaks JPC

I normally just wipe the doors down with a wet cloth and then use some leather cleaner\protector to buff it up, I haven't done that in quite a while...

I'm going to go out on a limb here... I reckon mine look perfect. Because it's a dye, you can't scratch them, chip them etc. They look and feel like they came from the factory like that! I love my doors! :pimp

Chunko - those pics look a heap better than the ones you originally posted! Mine's still in top nick as well, and I do the same as you to clean etc.
