Will check again, but I left my CRC at your place!
But I have driven home for 30mins from your place without that much hesitation. Will pickup another can of water repellant this arvo.

OK, first up, I wanna say "WOOHOO!".
Got her up and running again last night. I tested the injectors as per Powerslave's suggestions and both were firing fine (thanks mate). Sprayed contact cleaner through all associated electrical connectors for good measure.
Then cleaned the coil connector with contact cleaner and all plug leads on the distributor. After that, I proceeded to take out each spark plug (new Iridiums) and give a good spray with contact cleaner - I think this is what was the problem. All plugs seemed to have a small amount of residue on them - possibly from the coolant and crap getting on them from starting up after ECI was put together.
Turned her over and waited for it to settle into a nice idle and warm up a little then gave her a couple of stabs. No hesitation occured and all is back to before I started with the ECI body. No fuel leaks either and so that's about as far as I'll be going with the engine for a while (except for maybe a little bit of boost analysis and tweaking).
Thanks for all your suggestions, this is really a great forum and will continue to provide feedback where I can.
Cheers
Brendan

Powerslave wrote:Try this , take out the two bolts and 2 phillips screws that hold on the top eci assembly to the throttle body (leave everything connected except the vaccuum hose.) Disconnect the coil lead , hold the ECI assembly so you can see the injector nozzles , and have someone crank the engine for you while you watch each nozzle. You should be clearly able to see fuel squirting from each injector.

Just don't light up a smoke while doing this procedure

Hehehehe.
Nah, not a good idea.
Although if you did want to be one with your car it's probably the best way to do it.
Cheers
