Front strut insert replacement

Post by zaidja83 »

In the process of installing the KYB GR2 front insert from Oscar in the States but the fron insert is too long.

I have draine the fluid out of the strut housing and have inserted the kyb gr2 inserts but it sticks out too far. At the bottom of the strut housing is a mound that causes the kyb inserts to stick out too far.

Anyone come across this before and what did you do to get around it? :beer

I have installed 2 complete sets of kyb GR2 shock on starions and they have gone perfect both times.

Check that part numbers are 365029 for fronts.
Powerplant: Chipped stock ECU, 2044cc, 8.5:1, head intake enlarged and polished, exhaust manifold enlarged,
Balance-shafts eliminated, Intercooled, TC06 @ 10psi, 2.5" high flow exhaust system and dump pipe.

I'm happy to be proved wrong, but I think WB struts are longer than NB's.

If you have inserts from Oscar, they will be WB. What's your car? NB?
