what revs does stock engine hit 9psi?

what revs does stock engine hit 9psi?

just a query my starion has "0" boost from about 2k but doesn't get to the full 9psi until 4k.. is this normal ??? the car is stock with leaky injectors ( read: its STOCK.. lol )

Don't really know. I've never owned a stock Starion. But by the ar of the turbo, and everything else...sounds about right.

Yr turbo will have cracks in the wastegate area or yr wastegate accuater hasn't enough tension on the arm.

U need a new turbo :beer

throw on a 3 inch dump pipe and decent good flowing exhaust system and it'll make boost a little earlier. that sounds pretty normal for a stocker, if u want to make it spool up heaps earlier then a TD05H would be the go

Also 9psi is not stock, should be 7psi for TC06 and 8psi for TC05 I beleive.

9-10 in the states.....

Check it by removing the vacuum line from the OVC pipe to the waste gate and see if it spools sooner and higher..... if so new waste gate otherwise new turbo.

Much more psi on the stocker will cause it to lean out and knock on ya without better fuel pump and injectors.
