alternative parts list

Post by benny »

i have only just got my 2nd starion ( after blowing the first and waiting 6 yrs til another popped up when i had the money :) )

and as most of you know some parts are interchangable with newer models so how about we put our heads together and put a list of those parts on here?

triton steering wheel boss kit is identical
triton headlights might go but i'll have to confirm
Lower control arm ball joints same as 1980-87 scorpion & sigma
nolothane lower front arm bushes, listed for an LC lancer, and an 80's RWD sigma/scorpion.
Optical Dizzy from an L300 is usable on the staz
sonata dizzy
water pump from a galant 86 fits
Cylinder head out of a 2.0 N/A spacewagon
altenator from a ´95 Galant that required liltle modifacations
aerial in the pillar is replaceable with a magna one

eci o-rings got these from cbd bearings in caboolture QLD

BS016 x 2
BS010 x 2
BS011 x 2
BS137 x 1
BS043 x 1

the 4 form-fit ones on the injectors i haven't found replacements for just hope yours can be reused ( also i didn't take the fuel return apart 3 more o-rings live in there ) and i doubled up on the fuel in pipe.

what have you found will fit as a replacement for the starion item??

Im thinking there must be heaps of front end parts the same
as I have a Starion with GK sigma cross member and
struts, I reckon thats because the last owner put a
2.6l 4g54 N/A motor in her (FARKS ME why), OK he couldnt
aford to have it off the road at the time.

I bought some new nolothane lower front arm bushes, they were also listed for an LC lancer, and an 80's RWD sigma/scorpion.
