alspos gets it, more rubber for cornering traction and the security of being unable to scrape your rims on side walk etc when parking (shit happens sometimes).
I'm a big fan of 225's on stock starion 14" rims.
Powerplant: Chipped stock ECU, 2044cc, 8.5:1, head intake enlarged and polished, exhaust manifold enlarged,
Balance-shafts eliminated, Intercooled, TC06 @ 10psi, 2.5" high flow exhaust system and dump pipe.

225s are definately too big on 6 inch rims, i have 215's and they are too wide for them. More rubber doesn't always equal more cornering traction, as going too wide will mean more sidewall flex.
Starions are a disease, the only cure is poverty.

Ill be putting the factory size (245/45/16) tyres on them when I get the rest of the set and will be putting them on my Widebody. I just put the 225 on to see how they looked on a narrowbody.

Can't say Im a big fan of over sizes tyres on rims, I like them either with a nice straight side wall or streched. Nothing worse than side wall flex when corning.
And as for curb scraping... Im not a chick so its really not a problem :D :D :D
