L200 Ute

Post by gillysparks »

hey guys i have got a L200 ute and was going to go the starion engine transplant but i found that the engine is a 4G52 does that mean i cant do it,the gear box is crap and i was going to put a 5 speed in but due to the engine not being a 4G63 i was wondering if there are anyother boxes that would fit behind the 4G52,thats if i cant do the 4G63 swap, any advise would be great thanks..

Yes the 4G63 staz engine will fit to yr gearbox, & by the looks of the L-200 I was working on the other day it is a Staz gearbox anyway. :beer

i pressume that i will have to put a clutch master cylinder in it as the L200 is a cable clutch, iam guessing that this will not be a simple job

Converting to hydraulic isn't hard either though. Just mack a hole in the firewall, measure a million times to make sure it's in the right place, and use standard Starion clutch pedal box. Pretty straight forward man.
