Post by filiboy »

I wonder are these ebay turbos good, especially TD05H big 16g, which I intend to put on my starion. It seems to be very cheap ? 350 US $ or it is normal ?

I've wondered if those ebay turbos are good but usually if it seems to good to be true is usually is. Considering what mrb1 sells his td05h on his website for, u are better off getting one off him, that way u know what you are getting is genuine and he will look after you.
Starions are a disease, the only cure is poverty.

postage from ebay and postage from here wouldn't be much different at all. Either that or bite the bullet and buy a nice new turbo over there.

one of my customers bought a rebuilt hi flowed steel wheel converted CT26 turbo from trademe in new zealand for his ST185 celice GT4, it spooled up once and then snapped the shaft like a twig. not to say every single turbo out there on the net is fkd, but its the best place to sell something like that and have little chance of getting caught!!

buyer beware!

A lot of the turbos and wastegates on ebay now are chinese junk - that's why they're so cheap. You might get lucky, but i've heard multiple stories of them dying after one use or never working at all.

They are fine if you have them re-balanced!

Some of our customers at Top Racing supplied them and they break. You must have them rebalanced and they will be OK

Yep I agree. I have been caught in the past as well.

The EVOIII turbo i was selling was advertised on ebay. I had a few enquiries but no bids.
It was sold localy to a guy at the gold coast who saw the advert on ebay. Deal was not done through ebay. The buyer came up to Mansfield to see the turbo as he was aware of chineese copies. The buyer bought it as it was the genuine item. The buyer is using it for his fj20 motor in a circuit 1600 dado running a motec ecu.
