Seriously though, i've often wondered how it works too! As for your reserve, it's pretty big, considering the size of the tank in the first place I'd you'd get about 40-50Km out of it! I've NEVER ran out of fuel!

You will find that there is approx 10 lts left in the tank when the light comes on ..
And looking at the fuel sender unit .. there is two wires .. I would think 1 is for the low fuel light

That sounds about right
An easy way to tell - fill up as soon as the light goes on. If you can put 65 litres in, that means there must have been 10L in there already...

Don't forget there are two answers to this question!
1) How much fuel left in the tank?
2) How much fuel left in the tank that you can actually get out of it?
Not normally the same, depends on tank shape and pickup pipe location..

yeah my throttle body is leaking fuel as well so i guess my reserve tank is gonna be less than normal .....
