Image

notice the crafstmanship on the power connections, my favourite is a 2 pin plug i butchered to fit a 3 pin (above the hdd). Then theres the loose wires everywhere and stickytape holding some more power together. not to mention the cable ties holding the fan in front of the drives up and the one in front of the vid car :P I swear i never wanted to screw around with a comp but i had the opportunity while the staz wasn't broken and had to :P damn tom... hehe

I hate AMD.

Did anyone see the video with the AMD cpu, and they took off the fan? It started smoking up and caught on fire.

hahhahah, but for games AMD are quite the bang for buck, kinda like the starions LOL

I don't bother too much now about overclocking, got over it a long time ago.

i think you'd find any of the new cpus would do much the same thing if they were turned on without any heatsink.

Any of the Pentium 4 CPU's will also catch fire when they semiconduct and melt, All processors are the same as far as needing fans to keep them operable.

I am not pro AMD or intel, although I have a athlon 2800xp with 512ddr with a single 160gb hd and a geforce 4 5600 amongst a number of computers. I did have a P4 2.4gig 512mb geforce 4 5200 but gave it to dad cause he was suffering trying to play Flight Simulator 2004 (on his amd k62 450) which has some of the most realistic graphics i have seen in any scenery.

I do not have any goodies for my PCs as it plays my games and thats it, but I would like one of those neato LCD screens that go in the computer case for temps and so forth. but i would prolly put it in the staz and hook up the sensors.

Oh BTW i got a inverter for the car to run the VCR so i can run my mini cams for either track days and on cruises to get some nice vids for you to download :)

Geez i type to much
Cheers

Nah the P4's dont catch on fire or melt, the video showed a P4 with its fan taken off and it was fine, just stops running, then when the fan is put back on it kicks in again. They have a safety feature built in.
