NZ GSRIII and Euro Spec widebody WARNING PICS

Post by bigd »

Hey there,

Thought i should post some pics of my rides before i do them any more damage. The first is my GSRIII with LSD, factory intercooled bla bla bla in pretty mint condition except for the front right corner where Stevie Wonder driving a celica plowed into me. Will be fixed as soon as I'm back in NZ and will have the aerotech front bumper and airdam whacked on. Could also do with a good respray.

Then whilst i'm in Ireland I've just purchased a bloody STOCK 1988 2 litre widebody thats done 77000 miles. No rust, LSD, the works. interior is stocker and i will even have the original radio back in if i decide i want it.
Plans for a reunion for the two of them in a couple of years.
Hope ya like!

Had to buy the second one while i am in Ireland because i miss driving the other one in NZ.!! It's a bloody disease.

Are you sure? I've never seen a widebody wearing the old style bumper like that before. I have an 88 Euro spec and it has the late model bumper.

I'ld say the car was in an accident previously..........
Computer games don't affect kids I mean if PacMan affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music :D

I thought that aswell but I didn't think they would have any pre 85 stuff over there? Unless the euro market got flatties aswell.

I stand corrected. The bumper is prob off a narrowbody. Don't know why it was changed. I never even thought about it because its the same as my narrowbody. All shut lines etc are true so hopefully it wasn't replaced due to a crash :glare:
JBEvo the back splitter is an aerotech item from NZ. same with the skirts. cost about 400 bucks i think. They are both totally different beasts, Quick spool up and peaky booost in the NB - the widey boost doesn't kick until about 3500rpm and then is solid right up to 6000rpm at least. The widey needs mods to breathe better so thats first on the list. And the bloody power steering. :x
