About $9000 so far including buying the car so far and that is doing a lot of the work myself and freebies/favours...

My jd starion project has cost me heaps :o but then i love them so far it owes me : 4yrs ago i payed 15k old guy owned it from new 90,000ks , ja bonnet , exterior door handles (turbo ones) , tint , 3" exhaust , k&n filter , custom skirts , full interior trim , forged pistons , HKS rally cam , hiflow tco6 , custom intercooler & pipe work , custom made bov , magnacore leads , custom rear wing . just to name some ! :) hopefully will be on the road in a year with dual exhaust , roh chicanes , custom paint job , paint alone 20k ............owes me heaps .

wish I could spend 20k on a starion, got some great ideas but just a lack of funds,, and now a lack of a starion

i managed to spend $1000 on an 83 ja
(full of rust... dont trust that guy on trade me from dargavile "lift1")
$700 just to get it trucked home

then $1600 on an 86 ja
$300 to tow home after i blew the auto (doughnuts in Turangi w00t)
$600 for manual conversion(i dont think the homo even put in a starion gb in it!)

finally $200 to get it towed home to Tauranga from Hamiltion after it got written off by a toyota caldina

that comes to around $5000 grands worth of starions and in the end all i ended up with was two piles of twisted metal

anyone know where i can get another starion ?!! i want one badly !

well including on how much crap was stolen off of it...

rebuilt engine with forged pistons cost me 3500, rebuilt hybrid turbz 1000, custom built FMIC 1200, then had to get another cooler built after first one was stolen another 800, 1200 for first rims plus 250 + for spacers, first rims were stolen, so bought flash's old rims 500, duel stage boost controller 300, fuel cut defender dunno maybe coupla benji's, GFB stealth Fx BOV got heavily discounted but still 420, 550 for exhaust, first stereo cost me 1000, second 500, 340 for front spoiler, 200 for side skirts, 150 for turb timer, bent to he-be-gee-beez out of the left door when they broke into it, cost me 500 odd for a new one an to paint it, cold air 50 for the duct, 150 for a new diff, new innie an outtie tie rods.. forgot the price on those, now need a new box, gotta get the waste gate on the turb fixed, an the back straightend up, bit of drift damage, back wheel bit of a bannana. jd side vents 50 bob trade in with my JAs, 6000 for the yellow girl so being modest all up its just shy of 19k... damn you starion, my val would of been a really mean streeter if it wasnt for you.... :glare:

awesome man you got a hemi and a fireball (LPG or petrol ?), awesome, im trying to buy a regal of an old guy down the road, but the tosser doesnt wana give it up.

how much gas do they guzzle ? i would imagine around $2 just to start it up
