lol just a warning for you's out there, if you think you know how to modify your interior but are not sure. i would nor recogmend that you be like me and attempt it yourself because it did not goto plan the vynil paint ran and the middle console now has drips on it yay aint i a knob hehehe...

So if anyone has a middle console where the hand brake is uncluding the plastic parts for your change and electric windows i would lke to buy them, cause i'm a knob and farked it all up

i sanded them down again took me like 2 hours and they still came up shit, i dont know what it is cause it's proper vynil & plastic paint and it's still comin up crap so i'm not happy with the result, but i think cause it was windy and i might have had the can too close to the parts...

I've never used the stuff, but I thought that you needed many many fine coats to get a good result. It looks a bit like the coats are too thick.

definately wait until it's not windy - the wind will also blow dust which will mix in with the paint.
Might need to get some coarse sandpaper and really sand it back with some elbow grease.

Then when you repaint it, do light coats. Don't expect a solid colour with the first coat or two. THat way you only get a light coating of paint which wont run each time.

Might also be holding the paint can too close resulting in way too much hitting the surface at once...Try holding the can back further and do lighter coats. Did you use any primer at all? When I resprayed my center console, I did a few light coats of primer, then waited a few hours for it to set fully. Then start with a light coat of color..wait about 10 mins, then another light coat...

Repeat til finish is satisfactory. Worked for me anyway.

yeah i thought i was stuffing up with holding the can too close, ah well i'll put another 4 hours into it tomorrow, thanx heaps for that fellas

and i also sanded it back and re-sprayed everything and it looks nice now i'll take more pics tomorrow o fit installed again

What brand of paint is it?
I think you will need a paint for plastic, not so much as a vinyl paint???

I used VHT color "Silver Satin" with an export clear coat came up nice as shown in picture. Both these products straight from an aerosol can.

I used the VHT Vinyl dye on mine, but not on the plastics! I used Krylon Fusion for the plastics, can bend and stretch, is chip, scratch and crack proof!

tomsun i will not give starions a bad name, black does look nice but i'm not a black guy. i want colours that will catch the eye and if you dont like it guess what buddy... STIFF POO POO :D

definetly sand back, and redo it. BUT this time, hold that can back so its about 30cm away from the interior, and do VERY light coats. Do the coats even and light, then finish off with a clear coat. I did it to my install and it came up quite nice.
