That's sort of where my thoughts lie. For an extra $20-30 it's possibly worth it. Time will tell I guess.

I've got 2 sets of the blue type ones....Never had a problem with them. I just leave the trolley jack in place too....But I do the same thing with any stand under the car....

a friend of mine bought some similar ones 2 the red ones from repco and they collapsed luckly while he wasnt under the car but i have some exactly the same and havent had a problem with them
