Brakes
Just wondering if anyone has done any upgrades to their brakes, ie larger calipers, better discs etc, and where they effective?

Yep. NSX 282mm discs with Wilwood Dynalite 4-spot calipers on the front.
Yes very effective but a larger master cylinder is required for a stiffer pedal... which is still be investigated.

The reason an NSX rotor was used was because it has the same hat height as a starion rotor. The NSX rotor is slightly thicker though 28mm.
The NSX rotors were re-drilled to 4 stud. The centre hole was machined out to accept a Starion hub.
We have made up some mounting plates to mount the wilwood calipers. The mounting plates bolt straight up to the starion struts. No drilling required. The only thing you have to do is remove the starion dust shield.
Then it all bolts on and fits under a 15" rim. Standard Starion wheel offset and bolt pattern is retained.

I did a bit of research
I did a bit of research for a brake conversion (Still a while off) and DBA is happy to supply "blank" discs, which you can have drilled to suit whatever car.....
I'm looking @ R33 skyline brakes (discs + calipers) but I dont think they would fit neatly under the 15's like cookies..

go volvo!
volvo cast iron 4spot will fit onto the front of a staz with only a small adaptor plate. disk is the same size so u dont need to change it. but std rims will not fit over them. these brakes coft about $50 and a kit to repair them is about $50. they dont look cool. but they work well, and they have a backup brake line in them (so you can do cool burnouts with a hydraulic handbrake setup on the front wheels :D )
I figured out the meaning of life, and since then every day just gets worse.

I made a rough adapter plate myself at home to initially fit the calipers. Then Davidh (Skyquest) came over and took some measurement and came up with a technical drawing to get some adapter plates professional made.
The professionally made adapter plates are now on the car. Im sure he wouldn't mind me posting the pic so here it is:
I must stress that this or any other brake conversion should be engineer approved to be legal on public roads.
