I have heard from a guy that has had 3 starions in SA that behind ther right front 1/4 panel the rubber hose behind wheel arch faces backwards, he suggested that if you turn it to face fowards it would improve the stock airbox legally.
As air can flow straight up through it like a front mount cold air intake.

Anyone tried it??
Powerplant: Chipped stock ECU, 2044cc, 8.5:1, head intake enlarged and polished, exhaust manifold enlarged,
Balance-shafts eliminated, Intercooled, TC06 @ 10psi, 2.5" high flow exhaust system and dump pipe.

Looks good! I have a foam airfilter in mine though! Helps with all of the oil and crap flying around the engine! I just take it out and wash it! :beer

nothing wrong with the k&n one, I took out a unifilter and put in a K&N on mine.

i cleaned and oiled it back up and stuff
should i still box the airbox in?

as in put up heat shields?? Its infront of engine so I wouldn't bother

The filter is fine...One of the better ones on the market.

As for boxing it back up....Just try to make sure you can keep as much of the hot air in the engine bay away from it as you can....but considering the location of the stock box...you don't really have to worry. Just make sure you get a nice cold air feed to it and it will be awesome.

threw the original hole still in the guard and also say underneath it running out to the front?

just use an angle gringer prefferibly with the thinist cutting disk u can get and make sure u remove it from the car and take the airflow meter out there used 2 b some pics on the old bishiboys site
