I don't think that's it as the injectors are disconnected and there's still fuel flowing through one of them. As soon as the fuel pump operates, the injector sprays fuel everywhere. There is fuel sitting in the bottom of the plenum under the throttle butterfly.
Ok.. that would appear to be the problem.. disconnected the fuel pump and it actually ran for a second or two before it used all the fuel sitting in the plenum and died.. yay :) Anyone want to sell me an injector? :)
Haha.. good idea :) Only problem is that I need a few thousand dollars more to get the engine running in the other car - turbo manifold and exhaust being 2 major expensive items. Looking at getting them done quite soon though.
If you get an injector from the Jap wreckers ensure it has the same flow rate at max. I got a couple a few years back and they were only 3/4 of the Ausy JA injectors when fully open
Now I just have to fix the power steering leak (leaking onto pulley - can't see anything obvious!), radiator leak and exhaust leak (damn that downpipe>exhaust fitting!), numerous electrical problems.. etc :)
