While I don't condone this it's pretty funny. Only a matter of time before it happens here.

We have a whole new range of cameras about to be installed in Victoria. They cover 3 lanes at once, do front and rear, set at 2km/h over the limit, take a close up of the driver, cost $100,000 ea. and download from cable to somewhere so they dont need film.
The Statement said that the 'revenue' will pay for them in weeks. Didnt hear anything about safety or fines for speeding or driving dangerously or saving lives....just the word 'REVENUE'.

The way these things are destroyed in the UK is buy throwing used tyres over them and setting them alight.

Goverments always installing more cash flow generators,
road safety ??? isn't that when they lower the speed limit to 50 so they can catch people still doing 60??

While I don't condone this
I do. Maybe one day we will get sensible governments that work out that these things do nothing to help the road toll.

Maybe i'm just still pissed about the $250/4 point speed camera notice I just got.. all those lives I was endangering by doing 126 in a 100 zone on a clear bit of freeway.. i'm a menace to society.

Anyone see the article on the news not longer than a few weeks ago where the council in one nsw area is trying to drop the general speed limit to 30 everywhere but the main roads.

Thats so ridiculous, and the scary thing is that we all thought that dropping limits to 50 wouldn't happen or 40 at schools, and it did despite how stupid it seemed at the time. So just wait, soon we will be able to ride bikes faster than we are legally allowed to drive.

the answer?

motorbikes, they dont have front plates.

and you can see the camera so you can slow down before it gets you from behind
