Live For Speed

Post by ProZac »

Its a game thats been around for a while, its independantly made. The physics take some getting used to, but it really is bloody good. Its meant primarily for online play, and its just plain fun :). The demo has 3 cars, and one track.

Oh, yeah, why am i posting this on a starion forum?

Come on, tell me that aint based on a starion!

I bought a nice force feedback wheel for this game, and purchased the full version online, it really is the best racing sim game I've played, the cars are infinatly adjustable, ive got a couple of setups, one for racing, and one for dorifto action! Try it, you'll like it.

not a drift section per-say... but some of the tracks are really good for it, you just adjust the suspension down a bit, make it a bit stiffer in the rear, up the anti-roll thickness in the rear and make the LSD super tight :)

I've got a demo version from way back.. The full version looks a lot better though. Maybe I should upgrade.

The physics in the game are pretty good, things like trail-braking seem to be quite realistic. I like the in-car camera too - it moves around just like you'd expect the drivers head to ie. if you crash into something head on the camera whips foward. Really makes you feel like you're in the car

i posted this a fair while ago and some bastard shot me down.

the physics are better than the majority of games out there but there are some aspects that are nowhere near as real. The best game ive found for physics is netkar. Still I bought this before the full version was even released and its bloody fun especially the MRT5 wich is a FSAE car, go kart like handling and slicks.

Yeah, ive been playing it for 9 months or so now, not really online tho, the NZ servers suck ass. would definatly ben keen to hook up a game sometime tho. Im going on holiday up north for a week, i'll re-vive this thread when i get back and see if anyone else is keen?

Theres a narrowbody staz in the game aswell, but its not turbo, its still damn fun to drive tho.

its actually a gen 4/5 rx7 ass on it. They have made it so the cars are generic enough so they dont have to pay any royalties to the makers, all other cars are like this exept the MRT5 (FSAE) Car. I used to be on a bit at night but im working on the car at night now so i dont really play that much anymore :) :(
There isnt actually a narrowbody in the game, the non turbo car still has flares.

Heres a couple of shots with custom wheels i made and the second one has a skin of a starion wich someone else made. 8)
