Air filter?

Post by filiboy »

sry for the stupid question, but I didnt find a solution in the "search" area, so I put a topic. I want to put bigger turbine, and for that I think to put sport air filter also. U know that there is some electronic in the air filter box, and when I remove it the ECU stops the engine, and the worst is that the ECU is not programmable. is there any possibility to avoid that or I have to change the ECU with newer one (I still dont have MPI). 10x for the answers

The factory ECU requires the air flow meter (MAF) that is located in the air filter housing. No way around it.

You have to go aftermarket ECU if you want to remove the MAF.

But you can replace the MAF with another, right? That's what the yanks call the "1G MAS" mod?

Is the greddy e-manage able to work with the Satz ecu? says in the book (jap spec, cant understand) works with 4G63, but it might just be the evo/vr4 ecu it works with. Has anyone used one?
I have a car. I use it to drive to work, to drive to work I need petrol, petrol cost money, I must work to make this money… it’s a vicious cycle!

I believe you can, quest will be able to help you out with that.
