US starion makes 569RWHP on 2.6 G54 Pump Fuel
I'll add this to clear up misniformation.

65 lb wheel. Turbo rated @650fw. Get your facts straight.
Seen a couple dohc 2.4L 4g64s make ~520-540hp atw.
Both *heavy awd street DSMs*, 10s ET to back it up. Repeat results.
Make your excuses now.
Why get sick of hearing about fast ETs ?
When you're "set on kill", pump gas, street tires and excuses are for pussys, whose place is on the porch waving pompoms. Only a fool takes a knife to a gunfight.
Personally, I'd get sick of haveing your 'fabulous' dynos, and no fast stazs to show for it. I prefer it this way; crappy dynos with the hairy beasts.

Are you yankees blind? For the third time, no one has said anything regarding how inferior or worse or bad the US dynos are. No one has said that the 2.6L is a nugget and cannot make power etc etc.
And once again, multiply our population 25 times and multiply the number of Starions 100 times and I'm sure we could get a few Starions into the 10's. ;)

There is a difference between a GT35 and a GT35R, maybe you could of been more clear on that
To make fair comparisons across the ocean, all we went to hear is 1/4mile times, terminal speed and its weight.

Computer games don't affect kids I mean if PacMan affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music :D
All the car magazine testing is done using 400m. This is the standard in metric countries which means everywhere in the world except the USA :)JustPaus_88TSi wrote:And? 8ft difference. Wonder why that is.. Do you guys run the 400m or the 1/4mi?mrb1 wrote:
Yes 1320 feet is not 400m
Anyhow JustPaus_88TSi just being a bit mischievous :D
They still use 1320ft for the drags.

Re Gun debate. Perhaps it's a bit urban myth like, but Americans are seen as all owning guns and having gun racks mounted across the rear window. Just like Australia has kangaroos bouncing around the suburbs and New Zealanders all root sheep (well perhaps that is true :))
Re Dynos. Dyno dynamics dynos are generally considered the benchmark here. They use them in dyno competitions and they use "Shootout mode" which takes into account humidity, air density, temperature etc and corrects the output accordingly so competitiors can compare apples with apples. They also can be run in normal mode which just gives a power output but this is affected by relative conditions. Ramp speeds etc can be varied to "give a favourable" output. Unsure of whether the dyno used over there has a "shootout mode" as such, but this is where the conjecture is.
That said, 500hp in a 1300kg (2800lb) car is quite an achievement. I hope the owner has plenty of money for rear tyres.
P.S Great debate though :D

all you guys crying are wankers, us and aus. Gimme a fucking break. 35lbns on a gt35r makes a lot of power. god damn 1jz can dyno damn near 600 on one.
There is simple logic with a turbo engine making power. Run a lot of boost, you get a lot of power no matter what damn engine it is.
If I go throw 35lbs on a toyota 22r, im sure I would be around 550ish rwhp.
Even though g54b has a retarded power curve, doesnt mean it cant make power.

I wondered if I was the only one thinking that .airbats801 wrote:all you guys crying are wankers, us and aus. Gimme a fucking break.
Any idiot can strap a huge turbo on a car and make huge power (And no i'm not neccessarily talking about this car) but the art to it it is obtaining and maintaining that power, basically im looking for usable power not boost coming on at 5000 rpm.
