US starion makes 569RWHP on 2.6 G54 Pump Fuel

The answer will depend on whether you're in Australia or the US :D
That is all.
* goes and hides behind nuclear proof shield *
searching the net i found some proof of a massive HP scooter!
Unfortunately he couldn't supply a dyno sheet or 1/4 mile time... but he said it was possible therefore it must be true...
Don't worry quest, i'm just trying to wind you up :D

Flappa, what profile were the tyres? 60 series?
With that power, weight and approximate tyre size, car would be good for low 13 (13.3-13.4) on an optimal run revving at 5300 across the finish line in fourth

Yeah 60 series sounds about right. 7500 redline.
The bloke that bought my dads old sports sedan transferred all the mechanicals into his road car. He couldn't drive the race car, lol.
Interesting stuff... I remember the comparo being made to a 13B bridgeport in a RX something... is that about right?

So have we got any dyno sheets for this 500rwhp car? I'd be interested in seeing what the curve is like (Read: vertical line)

All due to good luck rather than good management, Daddy :DWANTSOM wrote:Nxtime:FARK!!!! Thats a first :oActually, Greg, you are correct.
Dynojet dynos (US favourite) are generally 15~20% higher reading than Dyno Dynamics (Aus favourite)

Even if you +/- a few pounds.... hope you're ready for a shock
11.3sec car dyno'd 400hp and 400 ft-lbs tq at the tires
10.4sec car. 489hp and 570 ft-lbs tq. This car was sprayed, 75 shot I believe. The g54 loves dope! Notice the tq, does your formula or programme factor that in ? Makes a significant difference.
Now lets hear how 'high' our dyno's read again. Or must we re-measure 1320 feet and mail you our clocks to recalibrate now ? :)
As I told you from the start; look at the turbo and the boost. Dyno or not.

Boost
Ok quest, U want talk boost? Cosworth F1 engine whan the first started ran a comp ratio of 8.7-9:1 with 40-50 PSi going in2 them, these 3 litre engine made 700-1000HP, when FIA want to reduce the power and reduced the capacity down to 1.8L they then started to run60-70PSI into the engines to get 800HP, FIA then made them run restricters in air size so 70PSi wasn't achievable given the air inlet size, their solution? higher compression 11-13:1 running 40-50PSI! flow means nothing except efficenty of a particular compressor wheel/housing, if the engine can't use the boost due to detonation then the timing will have to be retarded to stop detonalion, reducing the available power, therefore achieving nothing. Quoting boost pressures is only a guide to what can be achieved, given a well engineered engine, Formula 1 engines R, 4G54 well aren't. :beer
30PSI,2.4L! Wolf 3D Ver 4. VR4 Head.
vr4,
I have absolutely no interest in anything I can't build or attain. No F1 cars in my collection last time I looked, but I'll accept/hear whatever it is you have to offer. :)
Actually I only want to talk g54 powered street staz, as per topic.
As mentioned, sure you could "fudge" a dyno. If you're that dishonest, why waste money ? Grab someone elses' and claim it as your own.
On the other hand, you can't 'fake' a g54 on 25-35psi, now can you.
If you observe enough combinations of what these cars have consistently done at the strip and dyno, you can make a pretty accurate assessment of its performance... but if you haven't seen any, wild guesses at best

569hp/600tq(can't remember the reason why the torque line isn't there)
The tuner said this about it, "I had a problem on the 569 whp run . The rpm was breaking up at that power level . The torque was all over the place . You see , dyno jets calculate hp off of wheel speed , but need a valid rpm signal do display torque."
Peak power made at 32psi, not 35.
Car also made 350hp@10psi.. :D

And don't think for one second that you guys were the first to criticize the video.

Now that the BS is out of the way.. I'm more interested in why the dynojet isn't accurate. I searched the net for awhile, but only came up with links to online shops that say the same thing as the rest of them do.. They just state a manufacturers "script".. That means dogshit to me.. :D
But on the other side, I didn't find anywhere that mentioned the dynojets being off..
