new Begining

Post by boosted »

Hi guys,

Maybe you remember me, last year i wrote that my garage burnt down.

Now i've got some cash from the insurance, and i was looking for some new starions but i couldn't find something really clean.

BUT there it was, a superb conditioned 1982 LANCER 2000ex Turbo, in black. :D

So, because they're so rare i took it right away.

I think it's not to far away from the stazz.

I hope i can still be on this site for problemshooting or what not.

I have also bought some very nice wheels for it , they're called work wheels, not so cheap but very very nice, avaliable in all offsets, all sizes and the're 3-piece rims. (i tried to attach photos, but it doesn't work?)

i chose 7"*16 front & 8.5"*16 rear ;-)

hey man, excellent to hear something good came out of that horror. I am a huuuuuuuuuuge fan of the old turbo lancers, i owned a slightly worked bright orange ex for a while, 2l sigma engine, extractors, carb work, cam, it was a real revver :).

I can host the pics if you like? email em to me at zperston@paradise.net.nz

Thanks a lot,

It's really a fun car. i would say the stazz is a proper car and the lancer is more like a dangerous toy. In really fast corners it's abit tricky (rigid axle) and it's also quite noisy (but who cares).
But real fun and also 200 kg less weight.

All the additional parts are not added yet. (wheels, springs, lsd,...)
I'll have to get someone with a dig. camera to my house and then i'll send the pics right away...
