NEW HERE SAME OLD PROBLEMS

GDAY TO ALL MEMBERS .I HAVE A JA THAT HAS NOT HAD PROBLEM IN 2 YEARS, BUT WHEN IT RAINS IT POURS, LATELY MY STAZZAS ABIT GRUMPY ON FIRST STARTUP,MISSES RUNS REALY ROUGH,BUT FINE AFTER IT WARMS UP???.ALSO IVE REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR WITH A 88 L300 UNIT, IT CHARGES BUT IF I HAVE SAY THE HEATER ON, OR LIGHTS, MY BLINKERS WONT BLINK,OR IF I PUT MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE,THEY WONT BLINK,ALSO MY AMP GAUGE NEEDLE FALLS BENETH THE LINE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE GAUGE????NOT GOOD I CANT DRIVE IN THE RAIN,AT NIGHT ,. IM STUCK NEAR BATHURST NSW,I WANT TO GO HOME!!!! SO HAS ANYONE GOT ANY IDEAS?

maybe the problem of the low amps is due to the alternator you have im sure an L300 van alternator actually has a lower rating than a starion one.

i could be mistaken if i am can someone please correct me.

also i actually live in bathurst NSW were are you?

NO, THE STEEL PANEL BETWEEN THE GRILL AND THE BONNET,BTW,IS YOUR STAZZA SILVER AND MOROON BECAUSE MY SISTER SEEN ONE UP THERE

no mine is white but i belive i know the starions your talking about i know there is a silver one still floating around but the guy blew up the engine in it.

and the maroon one at a guess would of been bens car when he owned it and lived here it is now owned by freestyler off the forums and lives in sydney

unless your sister seen the maroon staz recently i could be mistaken.

Sounds like ixnay picked it the first time, alternator problems if you are having charging issues. Chuck a multimeter between the battery terminals when the car is running, if the voltage is low you've got alternator issues.

Possibly could be that the alternator belt isn't tight enough?

L300 alternator is crap! Got me out of a jam at the time for $50 but as stated has a lower amp rating! Doesn't give the battery enough charge!

As for your start problem, it's running too rich! There is a screw on the top of the manifold that says L< >R, turn it left until your sweet! Revs on idle should be 850rpm! :D :beer

sorry about the capitals guys,i had the original alternator rebuilt it lasted 1 hour!![$120]
paid $75 4 the l300 one,so i should have bought a new one from word go,also,adjusting mixture screw does not help my starting probs!?im thinking maybe a faulty ignitor??
