pics of my new pistons/rods

Post by igottasicjb »

just posting up some engine progress pics. the engine was already built about 18 months ago and has been on an engine stand in the garge since. it was a pretty standard rebuild just new pistons the rest of the bottom end was all standard appart from new bearing shells etc....

unfortunatly the standard gear would last long running fairly high boost so the engine is back at the workshop getting a set of VR4 Je forgies/
eagle rods, o-ring the block and the head with a copper head gasket, one balance shaft has the weights removed and the other was removed alltogether, a new copy of a hks cam shaft and hks adjustable wheel, mild porting of the head and the whole engine is being held together with ARP stud and bolt kit.

more pics coming soon.

the fuel system is slowly coming together. its going into and air tight box in the boot with an overboard vent.

the inlet manifold is finally finished. i had a coolant gallery put at the front and piped back to the thermostat housing, and speedflow nipples welded on for various applications

Looking good!

So using both coolant galleries is the way to go? I'm finalising my intake atm also.
