Thats gay, it they didn't seem smoke or your car get sideways, how could they justify that it was your car? It could have been another car, because soudn does travel.

If the police thought your car was a Mazda, you shouldn't have had to even go to court....They didn't even know what car it was, let alone thinking that you were being a Drift Ho around a corner.

happened to my mate... wrx did a burn out mate was behind him, cops heard drove round from maccas and pulled my mate up instead of the rex becouse he's on p's...

any way car got impounded for 4 months went to court, trye specialist was dismissed for falsifiying (spelling???) evidence, 2 minutes of the recoarding they had was deleted... the bit when the were saying shit like "how bout i give you 40 cents to ring sombody who gives a fuck, oh wait" apparently he pulled out he's finger

of couase the hoon p plater that was driving a 200b datsun was in the wrong..... not the police. no evidence just 2 smart arse cops deciding to be prick... btw he had to pay the $11 a day impound fee...

lol cars worth less than that.

any way sry to hear that they can be pricks

Did you really lol then? It was a mildly amusing comment, I'd give it a 'heh' at best though. Definitely not a lol.

i drove to work one day and coming up to a roundabout, council workers had put traffic cones slowly leading into the center of the road so people accidentally mounted the curb

they were all sitting in a truck drinking beers (at 8 in the morning!) and they laughed at me as i did the same. i dropped the clutch, smoked it up and drove to work.

i had a cop car pull up next to me at the beach carpark, and to cut a long story short he said 'perhaps we can find something wrong with your car' and gave me $100 fine for a bald tyre.

some of em are alright, but you dont really have the choice...

he took me in the passenger seat of the patrol car to 'inspect' the tyre marks hahaha

the bottom line is that u need a small pocket tape recorder etc on u whenever u drive these days, so in cases like R3D`s mate in the datto, when he got pulled up and abused he would have had the police on record saying that shit.. better yet carry a video camera with u and tape em when they pull u up. i`ve never seen a pair of cops f&%k off so quick in all my life as when we do that! they usually just check ur license and go.....

don't you need permission to tape them though? otherwise it's not admissable in court? maybe?

No. As long as one party is aware of the recording it is fine. If there was a third party recording the incident and neither of the ither two parties know about it, then it is a different story. In NSW, most (if not all) highway patrol cars have in-car cameras that are always recording.
